Wayne St. doctor offers up the benefits of juicing

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Dr. Joel Kahn, Clinical Professor of Cardiology at Wayne St.'s School of Medicine, stopped by FOX 2 Tuesday to talk about the benefits of juicing.

He offers up the following recipe for you to try:

Mean Green Juice
Ingredients
1 cucumber
4 celery stalks
2 apples
6-8 leaves kale (Australian tuscan cabbage)
1/2 lemon
1 tbsp ginger

Directions
1. Wash all produce well
2. Peel the lemon, optional
3. Juice
4. Pour over ice
5. Enjoy!
