Wife of fallen Dallas firefighter says he will be missed

Posted: Updated:

The wife of a Dallas firefighter killed in the line of duty says he will be missed by many.

Stanley Wilson, 51, died Monday while battling a six-alarm condo fire in northeast Dallas. Wilson left behind two sons and a wife, Jenny.

"We're going to miss Stan, not just us but everybody who knew him," said Jenny Wilson. "He was a great father, he was my best friend."

Wilson was trapped by falling debris during the early morning blaze and didn't make it out.

Investigators, including the ATF, are collecting evidence to find out what caused the fire.

Wilson's funeral is Saturday at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.
