Hundreds say goodbye to Dallas firefighter

Posted: Updated:

Family, friends, and fellow firefighters remembered the Dallas firefighter killed in the line of duty at a funeral Saturday.

Stanley Wilson died after getting trapped while fighting a six alarm condo fire, and building collapse, in Dallas on Monday.

His funeral was held at the Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.

Wilson's wife, and sons, talked with Fox4 about this tremendously difficult time.

"We're going to miss Stan, not just us but everybody who knew him. He was a great father, he was my best friend," said Wilson's widow, Jenny.

Nearly two thousand people attended the service.

Investigators are still collecting evidence from the scene to determine the cause.
