Firefighter says someone pointed a gun at him

Posted: Updated:

A Dallas firefighter says someone drove by his station several times in a pickup truck Sunday morning and then the driver pointed a gun at him.  A shot was fired not too long after that.

The officer was outside washing a fire truck at Station 33, near West Illinois and South Vernon Avenues, in Oak Cliff.  The firefighter ran into the station when he saw the weapon and then a gunshot was heard not too far away.  Police were immediately called but the people in the pickup got away .
