It wasn't too bad of a Memorial Day as temperatures climbed into the middle 80s this afternoon. Clouds also hung around as well as the gusty southerly winds. Further to the west, a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect for West Texas where severe thunderstorms are occurring ahead of a dry line. These storms are expected to stay well west of the Metroplex tonight. Our chances of thunderstorm activity will arrive by mid-week as the dry line out in West Texas gets closer to us. However, the computer models are still suggesting that any thunderstorm activity may remain west. We'll have to wait and see. Temperatures will still be quite warm as daytime highs will remain in the middle to upper 80s.
