Detroit firefighters injured battling blaze on city's east side

DETROIT (WJBK) -

Four Detroit firefighters were hurt while battling a fire at an abandoned liquor store. One is still in serious condition.

The two-alarm fire broke out Wednesday night on Ferry Street on the city's east side.

At one point, part of the roof came crashing down on the firefighters.

Two firefighters suffered head and neck injuries. The other two have hand and shoulder injuries.

It's not yet clear what started the fire.
