SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

The Frisselle brothers will be co-driving the No. 9 Action Express Racing Corvette Daytona Prototype that won the 2012 Chevrolet GRAND-AM Detroit 200 at Belle Isle Park.

Burt (31) and Brian (29) are natives of Los Angeles and current residents of Aspen, Colo. They are the sons of accomplished sports car racer Brad Frisselle.

Brian is a four-time winner in Daytona Prototype competition, including the closest finish in GRAND-AM history when he won at Montreal in 2009. Burt won the LMPC class in the American Le Mans Series premier races, the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2012 and Petit Le Mans in 2010.

While the brothers joined Action Express Racing fulltime in 2013, their first race driving together for the team was in the most recent race at Road Atlanta, where they finished eighth. Detroit will be their second race co-driving for Action Express Racing. The pair co-drove early in their DP careers, most recently in 2007, before moving with different teams. Brian's best finish in the championship was third in 2009, with Burt's best fifth in 2009.
