Sean Robinson, 9, learned about philanthropy in his gifted & talented class at Amber Terrace Elementary School in DeSoto. He decided he wanted to become a philanthropist and help needy children at his school.
Sean got his brother, John, and his buddy, Raul, and said, "Let's put on a talent show."
They have several pop, rap and dance acts and will ask the audience for donations. The money will be used to help up to 30 students buy new shoes and school uniforms.
Principal Angela Williams told me she knows how big her students hearts are and she said there's no way she'd say no to Sean's talent show request.
"A Talent Show for a Better Life" takes the stage Tuesday, June 4th at 7pm at Amber Terrace Elementary School in DeSoto. For more information, call Darren Dodd, Music Director at 972 223-8757.
