It's been two months since a fertilizer plant explosion ravaged the town of West, Texas. The blast killed 15 people and injured 200 others.
On Saturday, the Dallas Mavericks hosted an all-day basketball camp for the children of West. This event took six weeks to plan and the Mavericks organization wanted to do it after school let out so as many children as possible could attend. All to let the children of West know that they care about them.
The children learned, passing, shooting and how to play defense. The Mavs dancers taught dance routines and gave the children something to take their minds off of the deadly blast.
The children at the event received a voucher good for four people to attend a pre-season Mavs game.
