Many NJ families remain displaced

NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY) -- Nearly eight months later after Superstorm Sandy, many Jersey Shore families are still displaced from their homes.

The storm destroyed Pam Vasquez's family home in Union Beach. The Vasquezes are living with 40 other families in an apartment complex at Fort Monmouth, a former Army post in Ocean Port.

Pam said the government is giving her family another 10 months in the three-bedroom apartment before they have to move out

The state runs housing recovery centers in nine counties:

    A Maryland casino is looking to hire some of the soon-to-be-jobless Atlantic City casino workers. Maryland Live! is holding job fairs next week at the Sheraton hotel across from the Atlantic City Convention Center. The Hanover, Maryland casino held a similar recruitment effort in January when The Atlantic Club shut down.
