No injuries in officer-involved shooting in East Dallas

Posted: Updated:

A Dallas police officer opened fire on an armed robbery suspect Wednesday afternoon in Dallas.

The shooting occurred around an apartment complex in the 8900 block of Senate Street in far east Dallas.

A group of officers spotted the three men that matched the description of suspects from an armed robbery earlier this month. They tried to approach them, but the suspects ran.

Police said an undercover officer opened fire on one suspect after that suspect pointed a gun at him. The shots missed and no one was hurt.

Officers caught up with suspects and took them into custody.

Darron Robinson faces charges for aggravated robbery and aggravated assault on a police officer. Diamante Lacy will be charged with aggravated robbery and alias tickets.

The third man was questioned and released.
