Aspiring police officers showed off their skills to Dallas Police Department recruiters.
Applicants went through a physical test during the first day of recruitment activities at police headquarters.
Each recruit was required to do as many push-ups as they could in one minutes without touching their knees to the ground.
Applicant Ebony Lewis said the tests were tough, but she feels confident.
"I was expecting it ... but I've done my best and made it this far," Lewis said.
Recruits will have to complete a series of other tests, including written and polygraph tests, through Sunday.
