An Oak Cliff barber was killed Friday afternoon, just one
day after he fired an employee.
Business owners in the community say that fired employee threatened the
owner of the barber shop, Alex Fernandez, then left the property. He returned not too long after with a gun.
Fernandez, who went by Ace, purchased the barber shop less
than a month ago. He inherited employee
Charles Dewayne Hooks from the previous owner.
Hooks apparently didn't show up to work several times and on Thursday,
he was fired.
Investigators say Hooks walked into the barber shop on
Friday and killed Fernandez.
Fernandez is survived by his pregnant wife and two children.
