Dallas ISD Chief of Communications leaves less than four months into job

Posted: Updated:

Dallas ISD announced Tuesday that Chief of Communications Rebecca Rodriguez has resigned effective immediately.

Rodriguez had been on the job for less than four months and is the second communications chief to leave under Superintendent Mike Miles.

Rodiguez is the seventh member of Superintendent Mike Miles' cabinet to leave their positions in the last year. DISD's Chief of Human Capital Management and Chief of Operations left their jobs last week.

In a press release from DISD, Miles said the Chief of Communications position will remain vacant for an undetermined amount of time.

Current DISD spokesman Jon Dahlander has been asked by Miles to represent communications at the cabinet level, the statement said.
