ATLANTA -

Residents in one northeast Atlanta apartment complex woke up to find a huge tree on their building Friday morning.  The tree fell onto the Marquis at Lenox Road apartments on Briarwood Road late Thursday.

It damaged several apartments and cars in the parking lot, but fortunately no one was hurt.

Martez English told FOX 5 he was watching TV when he heard the crash.

"I thought it was God trying to take the building," said English.  "I've never heard nothing like that in my life."

English said the tree hit the top of the building, and shook it.

Crews were working to remove the tree Friday morning.
