NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A mother of two from Scarsdale, N.Y., has been arraigned on charges she grew nearly 3,000 thousand marijuana plants worth $3 million in the drug trade.

Andrea Sanderlin, 45, entered a plea of not guilty Friday in Brooklyn federal court.

The story reads like a real-life version of the Showtime series "Weeds." It chronicled a California woman's decision to grow pot to support her family.

But prosecutors say Sanderlin's business was reality, not fiction.

Sanderlin's attorney didn't immediately comment. Sanderlin was held over for a bail hearing.

The Drug Enforcement Agency reportedly found more than 3,000 marijuana plants in the warehouse.

The complaint was filed May 20 by DEA Special Agent David Lee.

Lee says law enforcement agents entered the warehouse using a search warrant to find two rooms designed to grow marijuana. He says each room had state of the art lighting, irrigation and ventilation systems.

The Metro-North Railroad has sacrificed safety for on-time performance, according to a report released Wednesday by a Metropolitan Transportation Authority panel. The report echoes an assessment conducted this year by the Federal Railroad Administration, which investigated after a string of Metro-North accidents including a December 2013 derailment that killed four riders in the Bronx.
