Road rage shooting leaves man in critical condition

Posted: Updated:

An apparent road rage incident led to one man being shot in Fort Worth.

Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Northeast Loop 820 just after midnight on Sunday.

Once officers arrived they found the victim, a 26-year-old man, lying outside of his vehicle. He had been shot in the face with a shotgun.

Witnesses said he and the driver of a dark SUV were involved in a road rage incident a few minutes earlier near the intersection of Northeast Loop 820 and Blue Mound Road.

One woman described a hectic scene.

"Came up to the front of the building and I guess owner or manager or something said that there had been a shooting and somebody got shot in the face," said Stephanie Artiaga.

Paramedics rushed that man to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
