The Texas Department of
Public Safety has recommended the driver of a tour bus that crashed in Irving in April
should face a criminally negligent homicide charge.
Three people were killed and dozens injured when the bus
veered off and flipped on its side on Highway 161 on April 11.
Lloyd Rieve, 65, was seriously injured in the crash, but survived.
The charge has been forwarded to the Dallas County District
Attorney's Office for consideration by a grand jury.
DPS made the recommendation after a months-long investigation into the crash.
The charter bus was carrying senior citizens on a trip to a casino in Oklahoma.
