The Texas Rangers honored victims of the West fertilizer plant explosion before Saturday night's game against the Houston Astros.
The team invited residents and first responders to the ballpark for a special day of fun.
A welcome distraction after the tragic blast which killed 15 people and destroyed dozens of businesses and homes.
The day was dedicated to showing support for the survivors. "We are here to have some fun, forget about the bad times. Have some fun with the families and say thank you to the Rangers for doing this for us," said West Mayor Pro Tem Steve Vanek.
Rangers Designated Hitter Lance Berkman also donated a fire truck to the West First Responders.
