A NYPD plan intended to better connect with the community seems to have backfired a bit. The police department asked its twitter followers to share pictures of themselves with New York City police officers using the hashtag "myNYPD." Some did share nice pictures, but others not so much. Some of the first pictures posted showed regular citizens standing with very friendly looking police officers.

ST. LOUIS, MO -

A woman who lost her leg in an accident -- has made a video that's changing lives.

31-year-old occupational therapist Christina Stephens posted a video on YouTube last month and thousands of people have watched it so far.

The video shows how to make a Lego leg.

"It's mostly just for fashion.  You can't really use it -- I really would like to make another leg out of Legos that you can actually walk in, so as soon as I get some Lego technic pieces, I will probably do that," said Christina.

"Anything that happens, even some things might seem horrific to a lot of people, she will take it in stride and find something productive and positive to do with it," said Christopher Stephens.

Christina also says she's hoping her message can inspire others to understand that life goes on after amputation.
