CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

More people are visiting Illinois than ever before, according to the Office of Tourism.

The state says that 99 million people from other states visited Illinois last year, which is an increase of 6 percent.

Those tourists generated $31 billion in economic activity.

The state is still calculating the number of international visitors, but they expect that number to be up as well.
