We all cope with stress differently, and some handle it better than others.
But, it appears that women are better at it than men.
Researchers in the United States say the reason is the hormone, oestrogen.
It blocks the negative effects of stress on the brain.
Higher concentrations of the hormone are found in women, which is why scientists say men have a tougher time coping.
The study was done using mice, but researchers are hopeful that the hormone could be used to treat stress-related problems one day.
