PHOENIX -

If you're planning a shopping trip in the near future, you might want to leave your man at home.

A new study shows men get bored of shopping after just 26 minutes, while women get bored after two hours.

The study, commissioned by Quidco.com, polled 2,000 Brits about how they felt about couple shopping trips.

Eight in 10 men say they hate shopping with their partner and 45 percent say they avoid it at all costs.

Ever hear "I'll meet you at the car"?

You better not take too long.

One in four men say they simply go home without their partner when they get bored.

The study also found that half of all couples end up bickering when they go shopping together.

Maybe it's because one of them left the other?

Top reasons men cite for hating to shop with their spouse:

-Being hungry
-Feeling thirsty
-Wishing they were outside
-Missing something on TV

Ladies, there is one thing that may encourage your man behave.

According to the study, men are less likely to "act out" if they're promised a treat at the end of shopping trip.
