Farmington Hills Chief Charles Nebus says a 34-year-old woman was sitting in her car before 4 a.m. when two suspects approached and stole the vehicle with her still inside.

The woman was driven a short distance before she was able to escape with injury. The suspects drove away with her purse and cell phone.

Nebus says police used GPS to track down the vehicle's location and arrested the suspects around 10 a.m. in Detroit near the Lodge Freeway and Six Mile Road.

Nebus say the investigation is ongoing.
