Three shot on Arlington school campus overnight

Posted: Updated:

Arlington police are investigating a shooting at Barnett Junior High School on the city's southeast side.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Friday. Paramedics found a man in his late teens or early 20s on the campus suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Two more gunshot victims around the same age later showed up at an Arlington hospital. Police believe they were involved in the same incident.

Police have detained a person of interest in the case.

They are also hoping school surveillance video will help shed light on what happened.
