Record Baby Born In A Pennsylvania Hospital

Posted: Updated:

A newborn baby girl may have set a record at a Pennsylvania hospital.

"Not that big." says the mother Michelle Cessna. "We knew we had a big baby, but nowhere near that big!"

Addyson Gale Cessna weighed in at 13 pounds and 12 ounces, which may be the biggest baby ever born at Kittanning's Armstrong County Memorial Hospital!

The parents, Michelle and Mark Cessna, expected the baby to be big, but no one anticipated she would be more than 13 pounds.

"I was guessing about ten pounds," remembers Mark Cessna, the father. "I wasn't expecting this. I'm just happy that everything's okay."

Although there's no official record kept, two doctors assisting in the C-section say they've never delivered a baby weighing this much.

"We were thinking around ten and a half, eleven pounds or so," recalled Dr. Turner. "Whenever I first got her out, I was like, 'Oh, she's at least twelve pounds.' She was much bigger than we thought."

"I think that as mothers, we all have that initial, sort of, 'oh my, that must've hurt,' and they're right, that's big," says Dr. Narcisse.

Baby Addyson also measured in at 25 inches. Both baby and mom are healthy and doing well.

"I can't even describe, it's just bliss. Got the perfect little family now," says mother Michelle Cessna.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
