Gas prices are up sharply across the country.
The state average for a gallon of regular gas is now $3.49. That is an increase of 15 cents in a week.
In the Dallas Fort Worth area it's up 18 cents at $3.58 a gallon. That's compared to $3.37 last Monday.
Gas experts suspect unrest in Egypt is pushing crude oil prices up, which ultimately affects retail prices.
Drivers say the prices are definitely a pain and their wallets are taking a hit.
"I've had to cut back on some things. You know, you have to have a budget," said Travis Ward. "You got to do what you got to do to live."
Nationally prices are about 20 cents higher than a year ago.
