Dallas Fire engine strikes car, light pole in wreck

Posted: Updated:

A Dallas Fire engine was involved in a wreck on its way to a fire on Tuesday and injured the other driver.

The crew was responding to a fire on Fordham Road in Oak Cliff when a passenger car turned left onto a street.

The fire engine drove into the driver's side of the sedan and both vehicles hit a light pole.

The fire engine wound up sliding across a front yard of a house in the neighborhood, coming to rest in front of the home. The car slid and came to a rest close to a sidewalk.

The man driving the car had to be cut out and was taken to a hospital, where is an unknown condition.
