LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Police in West Texas say a teenager fabricated a story claiming she had been abducted and held captive.
But Lubbock police say sexual assault charges are forthcoming against men living at a Lubbock home where the 15-year-old stayed.
Sgt. Jason Lewis says the girl likely was involved in prostitution and that one or all of the three men will be charged because of her age. He says she was not held against her will.
The girl ran away from home in Amarillo in mid-May and came to Lubbock a week or two later.
She had told officers she was abducted from Amarillo about two months ago, and on Friday crawled out a window of the home where she'd been kept and fled to a McDonald's restaurant, where she called police.
