BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Mark Ratcliff just bought five pigs on Monday. When he went to check on them Tuesday morning, they were gone.

The pigs got loose through a hole in the fence. Four pigs moseyed on down the street and into the nearest market.

These pigs are not dangerous, and although it was unusual to see them at the market, there was certainly no panic.

"We started chasing after them," said Kelcey Pederson with Ruhlig Farms and Gardens.

Ratcliff with the help of the workers at Ruhlig's and Brownstown Township Police were able to get the four pigs safely home that were in the market.

The fifth pig went off on his own, but he was rescued and returned, as well.

Ratcliff has already made the necessary repairs to his fence so the pigs do not make any more runs to the market.
