NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

A 12-year-old girl died after collapsing at a recreation center in New Jersey on Tuesday evening.

Police in Middletown say the girl was running at the Sunnyside Recreation Center when she collapsed and stopped breathing. Police say the gir had a sudden cardiac episode.

She was rushed to Riverview Medical Center by Lincroft First Aid and Monoc paramedics but it was too late. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No further details were released.

All 10 of the students below were injured.
