Students gets shopping sprees from Target, Salvation Army

ATLANTA -

The Salvation Army and Target are partnering up and providing Atlanta students with a back-to-school shopping spree.

The Salvation Army selected 160 local kindergarten through 12th grade students in need to participate in the program.

Each student is awarded a target gift card to purchase much needed back-to-school supplies.

Children are paired with a volunteer to help pick out the supplies needed for a successful school year.

Since 2009, Target has awarded the Salvation Army $1 million nationwide to cover the school shopping sprees.
