Grand Prairie will spray for mosquitoes in four different areas Thursday and Friday nights, to help prevent West Nile Virus cases.
Weather permitting, ground spraying begins at 10 p.m. The city says residents in the below areas should stay indoors, keep pets inside and cover fish ponds.
Area 1 - This area is bound by Fish Creek on the north, S. Belt Line Rd. on the east, Newberry St., Payne Pkwy., and San Jacinto Dr. on the south, and S. Carrier Pkwy. on the west.
Area 2 - This area is bound by Wendy Dr. on the north, S. Carrier Pkwy. on the east, Westchester Pkwy. on the South, and Robinson Rd. on the west.
Area 3 - This area is bound by Winslow Dr. and Slaton Dr. on the north, Sheffield Dr., Goodnight Trl., and Embers Trl. on the east, Kingswood Blvd. and Palmer Trl. on the South, and Emerson Dr. and King Harbor Ct. on the west.
Area 4 - This area is bound by E. Warrior Trl. on the north, SE 8th St. and Edelweiss Dr. on the east, Chestnut Dr. and Thornbush Dr. on the South, and Christopher St., Kirby Creek Dr. and Hummingbird Dr. on the west.
