Future of Kidd Kraddick shows uncertain

Radio in the morning will likely never be the same for Kidd Kraddick fans.

Co-hosts on the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Show went on air briefly without him Monday morning. They shared memories of their friend and talked about his last moments.

The longtime North Texas radio host died Saturday afternoon in New Orleans. He was 53.

Co-host Kellie Rasberry said Kraddick was out at a Kidd's Kids charity golf tournament doing what he loved to do right before his shocking death. She has taken comfort in the doctors' assurance that he didn't suffer.

"I knew what felt like to be divorced... now I feel like I know what it feels like to be a widow," she said.

The crew will take the week off to mourn. It is unclear if and how the show will return after that.

Producers of the show DISH Nation, which featured Kraddick, said they will honor him during Monday night's show. The special tribute airs at 11:30 p.m. on FOX 4.

Out of respect for his memory, FOX 4 will air an extended newscast on Monday instead of airing the repeat of Friday's show at 12:30 p.m.

A spokesman for the Kraddick Foundation said Kidd's Kids will continue despite the death of its founder.
