You expected to see trout, maybe some bass while fishing in the Keystone State.
But a fisherman in central Pennsylvania caught more than he bargained for.
Ron Parsons and a group of his friends stumbled upon a five-foot long alligator.
The teens spotted it while looking for a good spot to drop their lines in Huntingdon County.
The group quickly sprung into action, capturing the gator.
Parsons says he was never scared.
"It was trying to bite us a little bit and it was giving us a bit of a fight. And then we got its mouth taped and we carried it probably 150 yards to where we can get it to a pickup truck," said Parsons. "I tell you, the adrenaline was pumping pretty hard. I mean, you don't normally come out here and find a gator."
No one is sure where the gator came from, but the Pennsylvania Game Commission says whoever is responsible could be in a lot of trouble.
Waking up to dense fog today. Poor visibility slowing us down.
But at least it's mild. Temps are about 15-degrees above average today, despite the continued clouds & drizzle. High in the lower 60s.
Our next cold front comes through tomorrow, with rain, especially on Friday afternoon. With the blast of cold air that follows, we'll probably have a dry day on Saturday, and the chance of a Sunday wintry mix into the afternoon and evening. Stay tuned!
