Posted: Updated:

A "person injured" call for College Park police just after midnight Tuesday is now being treated as a homicide, FOX 5 Atlanta has learned.

Officers were dispatched about 12:50 a.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 4000 block of Lakemont Drive, according to the College Park Police Department. When they reached the apartment, the officers found a 55-year-old man who'd died from apparent trauma.

Neither the exact type of trauma, nor the man's identity have been released by police.

Witnesses told police there had been an altercation between the deceased and a woman identified as 43-year-old Hazel Lunette Pinson. Police are seeking to bring her in for questioning. She is not a suspect.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Pinson is asked to call the College Park Police Department at 404-761-3131, their local agency's 9-1-1 or the College Park anonymous tip line at 404-762-8664.
