7-year-old boy missing from Riverdale

RIVERDALE, Il. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

An alert has been issued for a missing 7-year-old boy from south suburban Riverdale.

Darnell Dominic Anderson was last seen Monday in the south suburb, according to an alert issued by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Riverdale Police Department. Fliers with Darnell's picture were passed out to train commuters in Riverdale Tuesday morning.

Darnell is black, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 3-foot-11 and weighs 52 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue polo shirt and black shorts with bleach stains and red writing on one leg. Darnell has a bruise on his lip, according to the alert.

Anyone who may have information on his whereabouts is asked to call Riverdale Police, at (7080) 841-2203, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, at (800) 843-5678.
