Randy Travis has been released from a Plano hospital nearly a month after being admitted with heart problems.
Officials at Baylor said Wednesday that Travis had been released from The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano and further details would come from Travis' representatives.
Travis was hospitalized on July 7 when a viral illness affected his heart. Doctors believed the illness triggered Travis' congestive heart failure, but later said scarring on Travis' heart caused the problems.
Travis later required emergency surgery last week to relieve pressure building up in his brain from the stroke. Scans later indicated decreased swelling of Travis' brain.
