A nursing school student from Millsap faces felony charges because her dog is accused of biting three people. Two of those incidents happened last Wednesday.
A rat terrier mix named Toby reportedly bit a 66-year-old woman that morning. Later in the day, Caroline and Ashley Meece said he attacked them while they were walking down the street.
Caroline suffered cuts to her ankle. But she said it could have been much worse if an animal control officer hadn't shown up.
"He jumped out of the car and he had one of those dog sticks and started shooing him away with it," she said.
The dog's owner, 19-year-old Megan Hubble, is charged with two third-degree felonies.
But her mother argues the charges aren't fair because after the first incident in January Hubble purchased a $300 pen and posted warning signs. She believes someone let Toby out on Wednesday.
