Passenger sues Southwest Airlines after LGA hard landing

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A passenger who was injured in the hard crash landing at La Guardia Airport last month is suing Southwest Airlines.

Jacqueline Young of Jonesville, South Carolina was on the flight from Nashville that made a hard nose-first landing on July 22.

Young claims she suffered permanent injuries from the accident. She filed a lawsuit in Queens, seeking unspecified compensation for her injuries.

The lawsuit is the first one the airline is facing after 16 passengers were injured in the landing. Federal investigators have said that the plane touched down on its front nose wheel before the sturdier main landing gear in the back touched down.
