GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -

The driver of an 18-wheeler that ran off an overpass has been identified.

James Anthony Long, 59, of Clarksville, Tennessee died when the truck he was driving ran off of an overpass and caught fire on Saturday afternoon.

Long was traveling westbound on I-30 when for an unknown reason the truck left the roadway, went down an embankment, landed on the north and southbound lanes of the PGBT and burst into flames.  NTTA work crews were able to reopen the PGBT turnpike lanes early Sunday morning.

Grand Prairie police spokesman Sgt Eric Hansen says the investigation is underway to determine why the truck left the roadway.

The truck was owned by B&M Trucking in Gallatin, Tennessee and was hauling a load of ceramic tile.  No other vehicles were involved in the wreck according to Hansen.
