A North Texas grandmother has her beloved bible back.
Enogene Spivey and her husband Earnest were married 48 years before he died of emphysema in 1999.
The bible was the last gift he gave her.
She carried it everywhere with her and Sunday it was stolen out of her car.
She was so upset that her granddaughters posted signs in her Euless neighborhood, hoping someone might see it.
"I know it was a gift, a Valentine's gift. He had written a note in the bible. He said, 'This is a book of love and I love you,'" said Mandi Brock, Spivey's granddaughter.
Amazingly, someone at a local car dealership found the bible Wednesday in a trash can and called the number on the signs.
Spivey now has her bible back.
