The Frisco City Council is expected to vote Monday on a plan that would have the Dallas Cowboys move their practice facility from Valley Ranch to Frisco. If the Cowboys were to move out of Valley Ranch, it could deal a huge blow to that community. However, the approval could mean Frisco would add another major sports attraction to the list of teams and facilities.
Rumors have been swirling for months that the Cowboys were considering making a move, tomorrow could seal the deal. America's Team has practiced at Valley Ranch for 28 years. In 2009, Irving lost Cowboys Stadium to Arlington. The thought of an indoor practice facility could be just what it takes to move the Cowboys to Frisco.
Frisco is already host to the Dr. Pepper Arena, where the Stars practice and the BNA Development league, where the Texas Legends play. FC Dallas Soccer Stadium opened in 2005 and the Dr. Pepper Ballpark is the home of the Frisco Rough Riders.
The Frisco school board will also vote on its involvement in the possible move, since the district is often a partner on a lot of projects.
