Dallas County families can get free back-to-school shots on Saturday.
Dallas County's Health and Human Services department will open its immunization clinic at it's building in the 2300 block of North Stemmons Freeway from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. No appointments are required.
Free shots will be given to students under the age of 18 and parents need to bring vaccination records. Parents who have vaccine coverage on health insurance can no longer received the free shots for their children.
Dallas County officials say students under 18 who need the adult meningitis vaccine should also stop by. The county has a limited amount of the meningitis vaccine remaining and cost $10.
