Northwest ISD teacher faces child porn charge

Posted: Updated:

A Northwest ISD elementary school teacher has been arrested on allegations of possessing child pornography.

Adron Ming, of Keller, taught music at Schluter Elementary in Northwest ISD.

Ming got the attention of the Task Force for Missing and Exploited Children when he uploaded images considered to be child porn to a Flickr account. Yahoo then flagged his account and local police were tipped off.

According to the arrest warrant affidavit, Ming uploaded four pictures of kids, "approximately 10 to 16-years-old" and "nude". The affidavit says in at least one picture, the children are in sexual situations.

Police went to his Keller house with a search warrant and found 41 files of child pornography on a laptop computer.

The affidavit states detectives also found images showing Ming making "pornographic movies of himself" on a "web cam".

Ming resigned from Northwest ISD on Aug. 7, two days before his arrest.

In a statement, the district said it's aware of the allegations against Ming and "is not aware of any incidents or allegations involving students or the school."

Ming was also a minister. According to his Facebook page, he preached and led worship at Davis Boulevard Baptist Church in North Richland Hills.

He also led worship last month at a Christian camp in Tennessee.
