NJ Bans Gay Conversion Therapy

Therapists can no longer subject gay teens to controversial conversion therapy in New Jersey.

Governor Chris Christie signed a bill today that outlawed therapists from performing the procedure.

The Republican governor also admits that he believes people are born gay, and that it's not a sin. The bill gained bi-partisan support when it was introduced back in June. The assemblyman who sponsored the bill is openly gay, and calls the therapy a form of child abuse.

New Jersey is now the second state to ban the controversial therapy, right behind California.
