Giving Hope: Cardinals give game tickets to 15 kids facing life-threatening diseases

PHOENIX -

"This is like the best day of my life really."

9-year-old Aiden joined 15 other children -- all fighting life-threatening diseases.

"It's really special to be here.  Not a lot of kids my age that have my disability get to do this and that," he said.

He's been preparing for this day -- researching his favorite players.

"They are Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson."

Hope Kids serves 900 children with life-threatening diseases in Arizona.  200 events a year -- each event a mark on their calendar -- something to look forward to.

"So it's not just chemo treatments, blood transfusions, hospital stays.  It is.. what is coming next with Hope Kids," said Hope Kids Executive Director Bridget Asheim.

"It's really gotten him through the nine years he's been alive.. it's that support system for him that we didn't have before."

Aiden was born premature and has cerebral palsy and severe epilepsy disorder.

This Saturday, the Arizona Cardinals are giving the kids free tickets to their game against the San Diego Chargers -- perhaps another chance for Aiden and his friends to meet their favorite players.  Until then, he has a message for them.

"Let's go Cardinals!"
