CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

It's only August, but a big Christmas demands a lot of planning -- and a really big tree. So, the city of Chicago has started a search for one to display in Daley Plaza this holiday season.

Last year's tree was donated from the yard of a family in Prospect Heights.

If you have one to offer up for this year's display, here are the specs:

* Must be a Spruce or Fir tree

* Must be least 55 feet or taller

* Tree must be accessible, for safe removal

* Must be within 100 miles of Chicago's Loop

* Must include at least 2 photos

If you think you have the perfect tree, contact DCASE via email at dcase@cityofchicago.org or by calling 312.744.3316. All submissions are due by September 13.

If your tree is picked, you'll get the opportunity to light it at the 100th Annual Chicago Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on November 26.
