2nd church in Oak Cliff neighborhood burglarized

Posted: Updated:

Dallas police are trying to determine if two church break-ins in east Oak Cliff are connected.

Deliverance Baptist Church was hit by burglars who came in through the ceiling early Monday.

They flooded the kitchen when they broke a water pipe. They may have also dropped a small TV as police arrived.

Last week burglars took money and backpacks filled with school supplies from Calvary Philadelphia Baptist Church, which is about a block away.

"We got to be careful and we got be praying more that when a person would stoop that low to break into the house of God," said Pastor Joe Moore with Calvary Philadelphia Baptist.
