Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings said Tuesday it's time for the Dallas ISD school board to decide if Superintendent Mike Miles should stay or go.
"We need to get the board of trustees behind Mike and let's move on educate these kids. If that's not where they are, then they need to say that and we decide to go forward from there," Rawlings said. "Right now let's stop the personal and personalities conflicts and get on to focusing on these kids."
In an interview with FOX4, Miles said the district had a good 2012-13 school year, but there's still a long way to go in making improvements and creating stability at DISD.
Rawlings has been a vocal supporter of Miles. Rawlings said he wants to know what the facts are in the investigation into alleged wrongdoing with Miles, then the board needs to make a decision and move forward.
"Just recently, there's been a lot of things happening, too much drama," Rawlings said of the DISD school board.
